Lord asked Prahlada "Pralha... tell me what boon is required" Prahlada very happily said "Lord the slave does not want anything" Prahlada's words
The Lord was amazed.
Everyone asks him for a long list of wants and needs.
I always heard I want that, I want this.
What is this?
Again the Lord said;
"Ask something.... I want to ask like that, Prahlada".. On hearing this Bhagavad verse again, Prahlada was in a dilemma.
What to ask my Lord!
What can I ask my Srihari, to whom I have surrendered everything, who is full of everything?...!
Again the Lord insisted;
Prahlada...ask" Prahlada said with full heart "Lord, Lakshmivallabha..I
The only blessing.
Don't feel like I want something.
That blessing alone is enough."
Here the Lord is miraculously showering blessings in Prahladan.
This devotee who says I have no desire for anything is dear to the Lord.
In his childhood, Prahlad had to endure severe torture from his own father just because he was a devotee of Narayana.
All that time Prahlad only worshiped the Lord.
Amma "Kayatu" would force her to stop chanting and ask Bhagavan for some help.
"My dear Prahlada, ask your Narayana for help. If you call, won't your Lord come? Still, why are you enduring all this pain?" Hearing this, little Prahlada opened his innocent lips and said, "Mother.... As long as the one who needs to be saved has the sense to save, should you cry for saving?".
This is Prahlada Bhakti.
Bhakti is total surrender.
God knows what and when His devotee wants.
He who needs to be saved has that consciousness.
It will come when the time is right... Just be patient... It is human nature to give if you ask and not to give if you don't ask. Not godliness.
So what do we have to do???Just glorify….
There is a lesson taught to little Prahlada through these two incidents.
It is about pure, unadulterated devotion.
That is why when Lord Narada prepared the names of his devotees, the first name was written as Prahlada.
Prahlada is a disciple of Narada.
Prahlad learned Narayana Nama Mahima from his Guru.
Ours is a tradition of such disciples who defeated even that Guru in devotion.
They did not win by sheer force of physical strength or military might, but only through sheer dedication.
That is true Bhakti Bhava
